Vale Chips are the leading nickel anode material for multipurpose nickel surface finishing applications.
The Nickel Chips distinctive shape make this anode material suitable for plating with standard mesh size titanium baskets. Carbonyl refining process produces the purest form of nickel available so that Vale Chips will dissolve at 100% anode efficiency in common nickel electroplating solutions that contain chlorides. Nickel Chips are free of sharp edges wich allows the material to settle tightly in the basket, ensuring more uniform current distribution with high quality deposits and preventing electrochemical attack of the titanium basket in the area of the voids. Vale Chips are safe and easy to handle, enabling basket loading without the aid of any ramming action that can result in basket damage.
Typical AnalysisNickel Chips purity is greater than 99.98% (nickel determined by difference). Vale Chips are produced in compliance with ISO standards.
SpecificationsVale Chips are disc-shaped pieces of nickel with a diameter from 17 to 25 mm and a thickness from 4 to 5 mm (approximately). Nickel Chips packing density is about 5.0 g/cm3 of basket capacity.
Standard PackagingVale Plating Nickel Chips are available in 10 kg plastic bags, 5 bags per box, 20 boxes per pallet (1.000 kg net weight) or in 1.000 kg bulk bags (super sack).
